Manufacturer: SL Foam Industries
Warranty Period: One (1) year from the original date of purchase
Warranty Contact: info@sl-foam.com

1. Limited Warranty

SL Foam Industries (“SL Foam”) warrants LadderEase products against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions below.

This limited warranty applies to defects in the product itself under normal, intended use and when LadderEase is properly installed, maintained, and used in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable ladder manufacturer requirements.

This warranty is provided to the original purchaser upon proof of purchase and is not transferable unless required by applicable law.

2. Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover damage, failure, or deterioration resulting from:

  • Improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions.

  • Installation on dirty, wet, oily, dusty, damaged, unsuitable, or incompatible surfaces.

  • Improper surface preparation or failure to allow the adhesive to bond as directed.

  • Exposure to environmental conditions outside the product’s tested or specified limits, including excessive heat, moisture, chemicals, or prolonged ultraviolet exposure.

  • Normal wear, abrasion, discoloration, or deterioration from ordinary use.

  • Misuse, abuse, modification, alteration, or use for an unintended purpose.

  • Failure to inspect, maintain, or replace the product when necessary.

  • Damage to the ladder, its steps, or other equipment unrelated to a defect in LadderEase.

  • Removal, reinstallation, or reuse of the product after removal, unless expressly authorized by SL Foam.

These exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not eliminate any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

3. Installation and Proper Use

LadderEase is an adhesive-backed EVA foam accessory intended for use on compatible ladder steps in accordance with the product’s installation instructions.

The purchaser and installer are responsible for confirming that the ladder, step material, surface condition, and intended application are suitable for the product.

Before installation:

  1. Inspect the ladder and its steps for damage, contamination, corrosion, or other unsafe conditions.

  2. Clean and prepare the surface as directed in the LadderEase installation instructions.

  3. Confirm that the adhesive is compatible with the intended surface.

  4. Install the product according to the supplied instructions and allow the adhesive to bond for the specified period before use.

Do not install LadderEase over damaged ladder components or surfaces that cannot provide a suitable adhesive bond. Do not modify the ladder or its structural components to accommodate the product.

LadderEase must not interfere with ladder locks, hinges, rungs, steps, moving components, or other safety features.

4. Safety Warnings and Inspection Requirements

WARNING: Improper installation, adhesive failure, product damage, or unsuitable use may create a slipping, tripping, or falling hazard.

Users must:

  • Inspect LadderEase and the ladder before each use.

  • Confirm that the foam is securely bonded and is not loose, lifting, peeling, torn, excessively worn, or otherwise damaged.

  • Discontinue use immediately if the product shifts, separates, or affects secure footing.

  • Remove or replace damaged or deteriorated LadderEase before using the ladder again.

  • Follow all ladder manufacturer instructions, warnings, load limits, and applicable safety requirements.

  • Use appropriate fall-prevention practices and maintain three points of contact when required by the applicable ladder safety guidance.

Do not assume that LadderEase makes a ladder slip-proof, fall-proof, or safe for every condition. The product is not a substitute for proper ladder selection, inspection, training, or safe work practices.

Unless expressly stated in writing and supported by applicable testing, SL Foam makes no representation that LadderEase prevents falls, eliminates slipping hazards, increases a ladder’s load rating, or satisfies any particular safety certification or regulatory standard.

5. Warranty Remedies and Claims

If SL Foam determines that a LadderEase product has a defect covered by this limited warranty, SL Foam may, subject to applicable law, repair or replace the defective product or refund the original purchase price of the affected product.

To submit a claim, contact info@sl-foam.com and provide:

  • Proof of purchase and purchase date.

  • Product identification or lot information, if available.

  • A description of the alleged defect.

  • Photographs or other reasonable information requested to evaluate the claim.

SL Foam may request that the product be returned for inspection, subject to reasonable instructions and applicable law. Do not return a product without first obtaining return instructions.

This warranty covers only the remedies expressly described above, subject to any additional remedies required by applicable law.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SL Foam Industries shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, inability to use, or failure of LadderEase, including loss of use, lost profits, or damage to other property.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SL Foam’s liability for a claim relating solely to a covered warranty defect shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected LadderEase product.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for personal injury, death, fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer rights or remedies that applicable law makes non-waivable.

7. User Responsibility and Third-Party Equipment

LadderEase is an accessory and does not replace the ladder manufacturer’s safety instructions, inspection requirements, or maintenance procedures.

Users must independently determine whether the ladder and the installation are appropriate for the intended task and working environment. Users must not continue using a ladder when LadderEase or any ladder component appears unsafe.

SL Foam does not assume responsibility for defects in third-party ladders or equipment, improper ladder use, unsafe work practices, or installation conditions outside SL Foam’s control. This provision does not exclude any responsibility imposed on SL Foam by applicable law.

8. No Additional Warranties

Except for the express limited warranty stated in this document and any warranties that cannot legally be excluded, SL Foam makes no additional express warranties concerning LadderEase.

Any disclaimer or limitation of implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where permitted, any applicable implied warranty is limited to the duration of this written warranty.

9. General Terms

This limited warranty is governed by applicable law. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

No retailer, distributor, installer, or other person is authorized to modify this warranty or make additional warranties on behalf of SL Foam unless expressly authorized in writing.

This warranty provides specific legal rights. Additional rights may apply depending on the purchaser’s state or jurisdiction.
